About This Treatment
Hydrotherapy is a naturopathic therapy that uses water at different temperatures and in different forms to support relaxation, circulation, comfort and overall wellbeing. Depending on the individual's needs, water may be applied as packs, compresses, baths, showers, sprays or other therapeutic applications. The temperature, duration and method of application are selected according to the person's health condition and treatment goals. Appropriate use of warm, cool or alternating water applications may produce different physiological responses and can be incorporated into an individualised naturopathy programme. The therapeutic use of hot and cold-water applications — including spinal baths, steam and contrast baths — to stimulate circulation, ease pain, and support the body's natural detoxification processes.
